Crimson Sins

But oh my god. I am never doing a background with crystals again. >.< Absolutely insane. But, I was trying to get the seeting to look right and all, so yeah. Had to have the crystals. Oh. As for the setting, those of you who have seen the trailers for Dirge of Cerberus know where this is. ^-^ But, for everyone else, it's Lucrecia's cave. I seriously love how they made it look with the glowiness and everything. lol It's so beautiful. I wanna go there. ^-^ But, anyway, I didn't even know there was a lake right by Lucrecia where she was crystalized until I saw the trailers.
So, this actually didn't start out this way. Actually, it was gonna be one of those "Thanks for so many hits" deals with just him laying there with his cloak like that. And then I started messing around and gave him the wings, decided he was lying on something, added the bank and then was all "Aw, hell. Why not make it Lucrecia's cave?" So yeah. In came the crystals and the lake. >.> But just to clarify things, including the title, that red on the water isn't just the color coming out of his cloak. It's actually the blood he's spilt. Call me crazy, but I've got this strange theory about why he wears red. But I got to thinking about it. He's always lamenting over his sins, right? So why not wear something that shows that? Red is the color of blood (well, once it hits oxygen anyway), so yeah. My weird little theory. Hence the blood in the water. And the chains signifying the whole chained by his sins thing. I know, it's not that good. >.> I wasn't sure how to do it. But overall I actually like this. And that's saying a lot. ^-^ And I know the wings are completely wrong, but hey. I drew him before I saw the trailers and knew what Chaos looks like and added in the background after. So I have an excuse.
But anyway, hope everyone likes it. ^-^ I know I do.
